China's largest mobile phone company, China Mobile, says it will start using cell phone numbers beginning with 134 from October 1st, in addition to the number divisions 135 to 139.
In addition to the number divisions 135 to 139, the new number is expected to relieve the shortage of mobile numbers caused by the rising number of cell phone users in some provinces and cities, including Beijing and Tianjin, China Radio International reported Friday.
Experts say each three digit combination can hold 100 million individual mobile numbers if its potential is fully exploited.
